Istvan Denes


Denes studied in Europe, in Budapest (Hungary).  He graduated from the School of Wood Technology as a qualified wood sculptor and also graduated from the Art College in Budapest where he was awarded ‘the Art College Award’.  He has received the ‘Designer Award‘ of the National Society of Artists in Europe.  Denes works have appeared  in the Hungarian press and television.  Denes describing his work explains, “I use materials which Mother Nature gives us in pure form and which she gladly would take back after my transformational work as the essence of these materials are carefully kept intact”.  Reflecting these incredibly crafted works Denes comments “During my philosophical and transformational process the masterpieces of nature, the beautiful wood, sticks and branches, found often in broken form, are becoming whole and untouched, invulnerable and eternal new incarnations through a marvelous rebirth and getting a celebration dress on body and soul”.
